Store Manager - Mississauga, Ontario

Retail Managers are responsible for the smooth, efficient, profitable operation of the store as well as attaining and exceeding store performance objectives and goals.

Sales:

  • Responsible for the store average invoice, sales per hour and achieving sales plan.
  • Implements sales promotions and advertising to increase sales volume levels.
  • Actively promotes corporate programs and ensures that the entire sales team consistently achieve corporate goals.

Operations:

  • Possesses the knowledge and capabilities to direct all operations of the store
  • Provides input into the planning, coordination and control of the store to increase sales and maximize Gross Profit and targeted sales volumes.
  • Ensures a positive image is promoted by all store employees and that customers receive an above average sales experience.
  • Maintains merchandising plan-o-grams and in-store merchandising standards.
  • Controls and administers daily product sales, activities and services of the store.
  • Meets all legal and regulated obligations as required by law.
  • Controls and is accountable for store inventory
  • Maintains staffing levels as per store staffing goals provided by the Director, Retail Operations
  • Meets all obligations set out by the company Health and Safety policy
  • Develops selling skills with the team to increase sales and average invoice and identifies specific sales and other job related goals for salespeople and provides guidance to assist them in achieving these goals.

Skill Requirements:

Assistant Retail Store Manager - Ajax, Ontario

Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in ensuring the profitable operation of the store by attaining or exceeding performance objectives and goals.
  • Motivate and train sales staff

  • Ensure the store is clean and attractive
  • Keep up to date on product knowledge
  • Excel in customer service

Specific Responsibilities:
